Today I found myself in Casselberry...and  I wish my camera could catch every angle of light. It's beautiful there off the beaten path...

Blue Martini

This lounge is lit amazing!!!! It's very expensive. I'm sure they spent a fortune on the lighting here. They have a few movers that they are just using as conventionals. I'm not sure why they used red lighting. They should've stuck with different shades of blue and cyan throughout. In the background you can see a band. I can't figure out how they are lighting them.

Modelesque Behavior

I had a photo set done the other night. The man who did my photos is phenomenal! Sveinn Kjartansson's usage of light is something to be admired of. I can't wait to see the rest. He used a combination of CFL lighting, Flash and some homemade stuff from what I can tell. He was very professional and made me feel very comfortable.

Color Temperture

Last night 06/25...

I was sitting at Smokey Bones chatting with my boyfriend about color temperature and the perception of color temperature in everyday life. Maybe I'm wrong but I am under the impression the blue white is like 7000 kelvin and yellow/red white is like 3200 which is considered daylight. 

 

So think about this. Hell is often perceived to oranges and reds and yellows and a little bit of white. Association to fire and anger.

However heaven is associated with blues and whites and airy gusty thing. Which is hilarious because the hottest part of a flame is where it is blue...

So as silly as it sounds. Heaven is a lot warmer than hell. 

In reality I don't believe in either. But I had a bunch of assbackwards revelations. That will probably only make sense to me  

Construction

This is the intersection of Red Bug Lake and Semoran around 10:30. It was a super nice night to drive and then this bullcrap happened. All the hammering and welding and lights it was a bit overwhelming for the relaxing drive I was a passenger in. 

Convertible Sunset

There's something about driving with the top down as the sun is setting. You get this incredible sense of being free. Not just the proverbial land of the free...but I mean something about the wind in your hair and the lights blurring as you pass by. The way the clouds form and disperse. I love staring at the sky waiting for time pass by...

Apocalyptic Yellowness

So I walk out my door. It's kind of yellow. Not really sure what's going on other than there was a thunderstorm.  I took a picture I don't think it can accurately depict the amber yellow atmosphere. It was kind of eerie. Like an apocalypse was about to happen. 

Sunset on a Tuesday

Florida surprises me constantly with its beautiful sunsets. Mostly they look like cotton candy. On Tuesday however it looked like a burst of orange sherbet. I was about to go into Starbucks and just wow! It was beautiful! 

Hard Rock Casino

While, I didn't go to the casino today. I thought I'd reflect on it. I'm sick and haven't done too much today. Hard Rock casino is in Tampa. Well at least the one I went to is in Tampa. This casino uses light in very very very beautiful ways. The rainbow waterfall is my favorite as its vibrant nature is reflected through the water. The intensity of the rainbow is what is so awesome. I remember the first time I saw this I went home and colored my hair almost the same shade of pink. I love going to this casino be it around Christmas or Gasprilla. The walks of life are fun to watch and they always tend to have something new. 

Parking lot light right before the storm

While sitting on our break for lab on Friday I couldn't help but notice the way the sun was coming out of the clouds as it was setting. It was truly a sight to see, on an otherwise stressful day. The reflections on the ground are simply awesome.

TS Andrea

This post was supposed to be for yesterday: Thursday June 6, 2013. 

I just recently got back from Oklahoma on Tuesday June 4th, only to have a Tropical Storm Andrea to hit Florida today. I have been through many tornados and crazy weather patterns but I don't think I have ever been through a Tropical Storm. I spent a majority of the day sleeping and being lazy. I woke up super early to greyish white light and nothing but clouds in the sky. Later I went out to Outback Steakhouse for dinner and everything had a darker grey light. Nevertheless I felt lazy all day. The attached picture is a picture I took earlier during the day....through the windshield of my car.

Greyish-Humid Nothing

Yesterday seems so far away...

Today I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and feeling more refreshed than the day before. 

As I looked through the blinds the light was much brighter and whiter than yesterday. When I left for class I thought to myself, what a wonderful day to drive my Vespa. Turning onto Forsyth I noticed how the clouds filtered the light and turned things grey at times....
